Lion Court Backs Melbourne Rugby Club

Lion Court Conference Centre has concluded a major sponsorship deal with Melbourne Rugby Club. The deal sees Lion Court established as shirt sponsor for the club’s 1st XV next season.

Melbourne RFC's Ian Lucas with Lion Court's Tony Cantrill“We are delighted that Lion Court has chosen to be our first team sponsor next year,” comments Melbourne RFC’s Chairman Ian Lucas. “Their support has enabled us to provide not only a full new kit, but helps us continue to grow as a club.”

Melbourne is currently building a state of the art clubhouse as a base for the club. It is a major project that has seen funding from a number of local businesses – Lion Court being the latest. Tony Cantrill, Director of Lion Court Conference Centre, sees this ambition as being vital:

“Melbourne is a club going places. They have big plans for the future, and we want to be part of that.”

Lion Court recently launched its newly-renovated conferencing and meetings facilities. These are set in what was once the servants’ quarters of Staunton Harold Hall, but have been used as offices for the past three years.

“We have made a major investment in our new conferencing facilities,” concludes Tony Cantrill. “I’m hoping that this deal will grab people’s attention to Lion Court.”

Considering that the name will be emblazoned on the chests of a marauding pack, grabbing the attention of the opposition certainly should not be a problem!
