The Bay Tree

Rex and Vicky invite you to experience the Bay Tree Restaurant located in the nearby town of Melbourne. Come in and relax in an open, friendly atmosphere where their dedicated team will create dishes to stimulate the palate and satisfy the appetite.

Inspiration comes from the world's cuisines, and favourites on their wide-ranging menus include Thai-style fish cakes, calves' liver with mashed potatoes and red onion marmalade, and the hard-to-resist sticky toffee pudding. Behind the 18th century brick frontage, the 70-seat restaurant has been refurbished in cool contemporary style.

The management has remained the same for over 17 years and the staff have almost become perfectionists and are amazingly dedicated to their work. Chef Rex Howell admits to being somewhat severe in the kitchen if things are not 100% up to his standards but that is to his customers' advantage.

The Bay Tree is an extremely popular restaurant and as such can get booked up early. If you would like us to book you in during your event, please let us kow as soon as possible
